What is the difference between bifacial and monofacial panels?
Bifacial panels capture light on both the front and rear sides, generating additional energy from reflected and diffuse light hitting the back of the panel. The 540 W rating is the front-side output; total energy yield is higher depending on the mounting configuration and surface reflectivity beneath the panel.
How does this compare to the JA Solar 470W monofacial panel?
The 540 W bifacial uses 60 cells in a larger format (2,063 x 1,134 mm vs 1,762 x 1,134 mm), with TOPCon technology and bifacial gain. The 470 W monofacial uses 54 cells in a more compact format.
